My wife’s challenging pregnancy was marked by the presence of preeclampsia and IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction). Scriptures to pray over your children have become my wife and I’s steadfast resource since.
Fervently praying over our precious twin girls with every passage we read, we sought strength, protection, and healing.
Our twin daughters began their journey in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at 1 pound and 3 pounds, respectively. They fought against the odds of their early arrival. Thankfully, all three of my girls are as healthy as ever, graced by God.
Praying with scriptures remains an essential cornerstone of my family’s life. It’s an intimate communication with God, using His words of promise.

Fathers are not alone
Using scriptures to pray over your children is like handing them a superpower cape for life’s challenges. It’s not just about asking for stuff; it’s about instilling those timeless values and God’s guidance into their hearts. It’s showing them that even when we’re not around, there’s someone way bigger looking out for them.Â
Let’s give our kids great scriptures to pray as a way to get them involved.
We dads need to be reminded that we’re not alone. We’ve got a Heavenly backup to help us raise these amazing little humans. Let’s keep those prayers flowing and trust that God’s got our backs and theirs, too.
