“To be a father is to be an example to your children of what God is like.” —John Piper.
“Fathers, you are the head of your household, but remember, Christ is the head of you.” —Tony Evans.
“A father’s love is a reflection of God’s love for us, strong, steadfast, and unconditional.” —Max Lucado.
Loved and pleased. Keep reading John 1:32-42 and you’ll see how Andrew overheard Jesus and John talking and said, “We have found the Messiah.” Just as God tells His Son that He loves and is pleased with Him, your son should know that you love and are pleased with him. One pastor recently explained: It doesn’t matter what you did 24 years ago or 24 minutes ago; God says, “YOU are my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Keep showing your son the God who loves and is pleased with him. Who knows, you might reflect God so much that your son finds Him.
