God’s Word shows who you truly are as a husband and dad. We can also get a glimpse of what you can become with His help. Psalms 112:6-10 offers guidance that can help you lead your family with wisdom and strength. #1 Be solid. He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord (Ps. 112:6-7). Even with unsettling news, you trust God to guide and give you what you need in His time. You set the example for how to live—through your words and actions. #2 Be steady. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid… (Ps. 112:8). When something bad happens, your wife/kids need to see your unshakeable faith. You trust Him and the peace that comes ONLY from Him. If something uncertain happens, you’re the first to take your family to prayer. #3 Be selfless. He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever… (Ps. 112:9). Being solid and steady is all about being selfless. People aren’t responsible for you—you’re responsible for others—and others come first.

Do this and your family might see a godly husband and dad.
